Background

  • Care food uses various cooking and processing methods to adjust the texture, shape, softness, hardness and viscosity of food to more accurately meet the needs of people with different degrees of swallowing and chewing difficulties so that people in need can eat with peace of mind. At the same time, the color, aroma, and taste of the food are preserved, allowing them to eat with dignity and safety.

  • HKCSS is committed in promoting the development of the Care Food ecosystem. The latest project is the Care Food Incubation Scheme, which aims to promote swallowing-friendly restaurants in the community with partners in the catering industry so that people with swallowing difficulties can enjoy Care Food in restaurants in different districts, regain the joy of eating, and spend a good time dining with family and friends. It is hoped that the project will also help the catering industry to understand the needs of different people for meals, so as to seize the potential development opportunities under the trend of aging population.
